What type of accommodation can I expect?

• Get Back to Me has an extensive database of independent accommodation providers throughout the UK.
• This includes small country house and boutique hotels, guest accommodation (guest houses) Inns, pubs and restaurants with rooms, as well as bed and breakfasts (B&Bs).
• We do not use large chain or economy hotels.
• Whilst we do not inspect all establishments, they all meet our minimum criteria of 3 star standard - or above. The vast majority of rooms have en-suite or private bathrooms.
• Many are more luxurious with 4 and 5 star ratings.

How much can I expect to pay?

• Prices range from about £25 up to £100 per person per night for Bed and Breakfast, depending on season, location and facilities.
• Because you state your maximum spend per person per night, this is factored into the search.
• Some B&Bs also offer evening meals and packed lunches, however these are not included in the price.

Children?

• The majority of our accommodation providers are delighted to have children to stay, and are able to provide cots or additional beds where necessary.
• But - please be aware that occasionally providers are not able to accommodate children, so do discuss fully when making your booking.

What about access for guests with limited mobility and other specific needs?

• Many accommodation providers do have rooms with level access, however not all.
• If you have any specific requirements you will be able to discuss them at the time of booking, as you will be talking with the accommodation provider.

I have special dietary requirements, will it be a problem?

• All our accommodation providers offer a choice of breakfast.
• Many use locally sourced, free range and organic produce.
• There will always be vegetarian options.
• If you have particular dietary needs please discuss at the time of booking.

What if there are no vacancies?

• At peak times and during large events, if we are unable find any suitable vacancies, you will be invited to increase the distance you are prepared to stay from your destination.

Can I take my dog?

• Some of our accommodation providers welcome dogs, others are not able to accept visiting dogs, so please check when you book.

What to expect from Bed and Breakfast accommodation:

One of the delights of the independent accommodation sector, as opposed to chain hotels, is that every place is different. You may be staying in someone’s lovingly restored home, a castle, a cottage or a swish town house or a boutique hotel. You could stay on a working farm, or right on the sea front. We have old coaching inns and country pubs along with beautiful boutique hotels. At some locations you may be the only guests and be treated as part of the family, at others you may have separate accommodation from your hosts.

One thing is for sure, no two rooms will ever be the same! Wherever you stay, when you book through Get Back to Me, you will be given a warm welcome and have the pleasure of staying somewhere where individuality is a good thing.

Green Tourism

In addition to the usual light, water and heat saving efforts in hotels, when you stay with an independent accommodation provider, you will probably be doing more for the environment and the local economy than you realise.

The majority of B&Bs and small hotels take green issues very seriously and are able to implement them very effectively. Many use delicious, fresh, home produced or locally sourced products for their breakfasts, which in turn keeps down food miles.

Some of our B&Bs offer discounts for guests arriving by public transport, others provide bicycles for guests’ use. Many provide details of things to do locally, maps, walks and places of interest, so you can keep your mileage down during your stay.
